What is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP)?
Accredited Exercise Physiologists specialise in designing exercise and physical activity programs for health and fitness.

Our Accredited Exercise Physiologists have completed a minimum 4-year university degree and are ESSA (Exercise and Sports Science Australia) accredited allied health professionals. In many instances they will hold the equivalent of a Masters Degree.
Exercise Physiologists typically see people for the management of complex chronic conditions and provide specialised exercise based treatment for cardiovascular, metabolic, pulmonary, neurological, psychological and musculoskeletal conditions including:
- High blood pressure & cholesterol
- Heart disease
- Stroke, MS, Parkinson’s Disease
- Chronic lung conditions (COPD), Asthma
- Chronic pain & chronic fatigue

What to expect from an Accredited Exercise Physiologist?
Your exercise physiologist will complete a comprehensive assessment of your health and medical history, and discuss your goals. We will work with you to develop strategies for fitting regular physical activity into your lifestyle and make sure you are well equipped with the skills, knowledge and support to maintain your program long into the future.
AEPs also carry out sub-maximal fitness tests, perform body composition tests and provide lifestyle education to help people manage their health conditions.
