What we do:
Our Active Ageing Team works with you, your goals, your budget and your Support at Home Provider to create a tailored program that suits your needs. We partner with Support at Home Providers across Australia to make sure your funding is used effectively.
Whether everyday activities are getting harder, you’ve recently been unwell or in hospital, or you live with a chronic condition, we can help you regain strength so you can get back to doing the things you love.
Our multi-disciplinary team of physiotherapists, exercise physiologists and exercise scientists work together to deliver safe, evidence-based programs that focus on:
- building long-term strength
- falls prevention
- mobility and balance
- reducing frailty
- retaining independence and confidence.
We specialise in strength training in older adults to improve muscle, balance, and overall function. Our programs are designed to help you age well, maintain independence, and enjoy life to the fullest.
Why train in the clinic instead of at home?
Choosing to train in a Kieser clinic gives you benefits that are hard to achieve at home.
- Our Swiss-engineered machines make strength training safe and effective, helping you build strength at your own pace.
- People stay more consistent with their program when they train in the clinic rather than exercising alone at home.
- Your funding goes further because it goes directly toward your care, not travel fees.
- Coming into the clinic helps you stay connected with people in your local community.
- You’ll enjoy friendly social connection, training beside people of all ages and abilities.
- Our programs are flexible, so as you get stronger and more confident, we can adjust your program to make the most of your funding.
- You have a full team available to support you, including physiotherapists, exercise physiologists and exercise scientists.
How the program works
Your journey starts with an assessment by a physiotherapist or exercise physiologist. They check your strength, mobility and overall health, then create a personalised treatment plan for you.
This plan is combined with a funding proposal and sent to your care manager for approval or further discussion. Once approved, your program begins.
A range of service options are available, including:
- physiotherapy
- exercise physiology
- exercise physiology groups for functional training, balance, cardio training
- one-on-one training with an exercise scientist.
