Reading Time

Gary has spent more than 40 years developing and growing entrepreneurial ventures across hospitality, sport, fitness, franchising and property.

After qualifying as an accountant, Gary built a diverse portfolio of businesses ranging from restaurants and gourmet food stores to indoor sports venues across Australia, England, South Africa, the United States and Japan throughout the 1980s and 1990s.

In the mid-1990s, Gary invested in the Fernwood franchise system and at one stage owned five franchises. Through his experience in the fitness sector and his understanding of the challenges facing the ageing population, Gary identified the opportunity to introduce Kieser Training to Australia and secured the Master Franchise rights in September 2005.

In 2006 Gary founded Kieser Australia and played a key role in establishing the business, culture and long-term growth strategy that has underpinned the organisation's success.

Gary has also led the development of Baringo Village in New Gisborne, Victoria, an 11-acre mixed-use development comprising a boutique hotel, restaurant, wine bar and residential community.

Gary is the founder of Kieser Australia and a Director of the company.
