I Kieser to Keep Fighting
Client Name: Mark Schleibs
Mark is a professional boxer and is currently the Australian Bantamweight Champion. He came to Kieser over a year ago due to a shoulder injury that prevented him from fighting. Here is his story:
"My Kieser journey started when I was lucky enough to be sponsored by Kieser Heidelberg. I originally had a shoulder injury which entailed two tears that prevented me from sparring and fighting.
During my initial sessions the team at Kieser tested the strength in my core, arms, legs, etc. They got a full overview of my physical strengths and weaknesses and evaluated what was lacking in my body to determine my program. They set out a plan for recovery not just for my shoulder but for my entire body.
Since starting at Kieser I have become a more well rounded athlete by understanding my body better and learning more about my muscles. Over time I have been able to perfect the correct weight training with the 4-2 single rep method that Kieser uses.
My shoulder was previously very weak and because of the training and correct management I am now throwing again at 100% and able to do everything again in my boxing training and more. My core has benefited massively and my flexibility has come a long way.
Kieser has taught me to engage certain muscles that I didn’t know existed.
Importantly, Kieser helped me learn my limits and how not to over exceed reps and cause further injury. I realised that you don’t need to overload with more and more weight. With the correct form you can achieve the same, if not better results.
Fast forward 12 months I’m now back sparring at 100 percent and scheduled for the biggest fight of my life November 25th. It will be against fellow Australian boxer Brock Jarvis who is currently trained by 3-time World Champion Jeff Fenech. Thanks to Kieser help I’m now the strongest I’ve been in my life.
I am extremely grateful and happy that I have Kieser supporting and working with me. My goal is to one day become world champion and with Kieser on my side I’m sure we will achieve this goal in the years to come.”
