Meet Jess: Exercise Physiologist at Kieser South Melbourne
At Kieser, our team of exercise physiologists plays a vital role in helping clients achieve their health and strength goals. Today, we’re introducing you to Jess, a long-standing member of the Kieser South Melbourne team, whose passion for health and movement has guided her career for over eight years.
A Journey of Growth and Variety
Jess joined Kieser more than eight years ago and has worn many hats since. While she has always called the South Melbourne clinic home, her role has evolved beyond the working directly with clients. Over the years, she’s worked as a Principal Exercise Physiologist, supported the wider team across Kieser through a role in the Training and Development team, and contributed to medical liaison and community engagement.
A Day in the Life of an Exercise Physiologist
No two days are the same for Jess, but her typical day strikes a balance between client care and broader community engagement.
“Half my day is usually spent seeing clients one-on-one,” she explains. “The other half is focused on building medical partnerships, community relationships, and leadership within the clinic.”
Jess works with a wide range of clients managing conditions such as Type 2 Diabetes, Osteoporosis, cardiac conditions, and those with weight loss goals.
“Strength training plays a central role in all of these treatment plans. For many, it’s not just supportive—it’s essential.”
What Jess Loves Most About Her Role
When asked what she enjoys most, Jess doesn't hesitate:
“I love working with a diverse group of people with varied health conditions. It’s incredibly rewarding to empower someone to improve their wellbeing and see the real, lasting impact it has on their quality of life.”
