Move Around Australia 2026: Wrap-up

Move Around Australia 2026

We came together, we moved, we conquered.

Our first-ever Move Around Australia challenge has come to an end, and the results speak for themselves.

Over May, our Kieser community and team members came together with a shared goal: to move more, support each other and make a meaningful impact on mental health, proudly supporting R U OK? and Let's Talk Foundation. What happened next exceeded everything we hoped for.

Together, we:

  • covered 396,557 kilometres covered
  • completed 27.3 laps around Australia.

But this is about more than numbers. It's proof of what our community can do when we show up together.

Top 3 clinics

Move Around Australia clinic leaderboard

While these 3 clinics led the charge, every kilometre from every person at every clinic counted. We couldn’t have achieved what we have without every single person that participated.

The stories behind the kilometres

The numbers we achieved are impressive. The stories behind them are something else entirely.

Kieser Geelong walkathon

The Geelong, Torquay and Ocean Grove clinics came together for a 24‑hour walkathon at Deakin University, running from 8 am Friday, 29 May to 8 am Saturday, 30 May.

Teams made sure at least 2 people were walking together at all times, because at Kieser, you never have to go it alone. Clients from all 3 clinics joined throughout the day and night, with some covering up to 50 km. Other team members contributed by running 20 km and walking over 25 km. Participation was strong across the full 24 hours.

Kieser Ringwood 24-hour cycle challenge

With the finish line in sight, Ringwood went all in. The team cycled non-stop for 24 hours, clocking an impressive 625 km on a stationary exercise bike right in the clinic. Every team member took a shift, with Kieser Ringwood members jumping in too, bringing extra energy and community spirit to keep the wheels turning all the way to the end.

Overnight, exercise scientist Sammy turned up the atmosphere with a live DJ set, keeping the night crew motivated, energised and pedalling strong right through until morning!

What our members had to say

"I love that I am  doing something for  Mental Health in Australia. I do my best to increase the ‘clicks’ for my Coorparoo Team. Being an ‘OBE' makes it real fun, but also a challenge with a bad back. But…as they say – ‘In the end, everything is good. If it is not good, well, it’s not the end.''" M Johansen, Coorparoo

“It gave me the motivation to walk in the rain - which I did 2 times - forgot how much fun that is. Made me laugh when I got soaked. I got a kick out of watching the Kilometres and laps around Oz going up nationally and for Ascot." Peter Gill, Kieser Ascot

Thank you

To everyone who took part – thank you. You showed up, you kept going, and on the hard days, you kept going anyway. What we’ve built together as a community over May is something we can all genuinely be proud of.

And if you missed it this time? We're already thinking about next year. Watch this space.
