FAQs
How much is an initial appointment and membership?
Please contact us at (03) 9977 5990, and one of our team members will explain the pricing options available based on your goals and needs.
What happens during the initial physiotherapy assessment?
The first step for all clients at Kieser is an initial assessment with a physiotherapist. During this 45-minute consultation, your physiotherapist will review your medical history, physical condition, mobility, training background, and personal goals and conduct an initial back strength test. After completing an initial assessment, your physiotherapist will recommend a course of physiotherapy if required or schedule an introductory training session with one of our team.
What do I need to bring with me for the initial physiotherapy assessment?
Please wear comfortable clothes as your physiotherapist may ask you to do some stretching. Be sure to bring your private health card, as you may be eligible for a rebate for your physiotherapy appointment. Please arrive 10 minutes early to complete any paperwork.
Do I need a referral for an initial appointment?
No, you don’t need a referral to see a physiotherapist. However, if your medical practitioner has given you a referral with specific details, please bring it to your appointment.
Can I claim Kieser appointments and memberships on my private health insurance?
Yes, appointments with Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists are claimable through private health insurance. Check with your health fund to determine eligibility for rebates on memberships.
Will a back strength test be performed during the initial physiotherapy assessment?
Your physiotherapist will perform a back strength test on our Lumbar Extensor (LE) machine during your initial assessment as long as your physical condition permits.
Do I need to sign an agreement during this appointment?
No, this appointment is to conduct an initial assessment and provide you with a treatment plan. Should you decide to continue with Kieser, we will book an introductory session for you with one of our Exercise Scientists, who will introduce you to our equipment and explain more about our subscriptions.
What is the difference between a Physiotherapist, Exercise Scientist, and Exercise Physiologist?
-
A Physiotherapist addresses musculoskeletal pain and injuries.
-
An Exercise Scientist manages the delivery of training programs and offers technical corrections.
-
An Exercise Physiologist manages chronic health conditions.
