Strength Testing
You might know your weight, blood pressure, cholesterol level and other health-related data that can be measured. But do you know how strong your muscles are?
Kieser Burleigh is a Gold Coast Physio clinic
At our Burleigh physiotherapy clinic, we offer strength programs led by physiotherapists. Our programs help you recover from injury, reduce pain and manage long-term health problems.
To support your training, you’ll use specialised machines unique to Kieser. These machines help you train safely and use the correct technique, no matter your age or ability.
Our clinic itself is bright, clean and welcoming. There’s no loud music or mirrors—just a calm space where you can focus. If you enjoy music while you train, you’re welcome to bring your headphones.
We’ve created a friendly space where people of all ages and abilities can feel comfortable and confident during their training.
If you’ve never been to a Kieser clinic, we’d love to welcome you to Kieser Burleigh. Come in and experience the Kieser difference for yourself.

Physiotherapy at Kieser Burleigh
Creating long term health results through exercise is the cornerstone of physiotherapy at Kieser physio Burleigh. Pain can inhibit muscle activity no matter what the cause, so our Kieser Burleigh Physiotherapists treat a wide variety of physical conditions in our fitness and rehabilitation facilities including spinal conditions, pre/post surgery, peripheral injuries/ pain (shoulders, knees, hips, ankles, etc.), scoliosis and many more.
All our clients begin their journey with an initial consultation with one of our Kieser Burleigh Physiotherapists or Exercise Physiologists, who will prepare a comprehensive treatment plan to reduce any muscle aches and joint pains and start the process of reconditioning. After the initial physiotherapy treatment phase, you will be introduced to one of our Exercise Scientists who will develop a customised training program for you.
FAQs for your initial assessment at Kieser
What happens at your first physio assessment?
- When you first arrive for your initial assessment, you will be greeted by our reception team.
- You will have received a patient information form to complete online. If you do not complete the form online, please arrive 10 minutes early.
- Next, your physiotherapist will come out to greet you and show you around our state-of-the-art facility.
- During your initial assessment, your physiotherapist will thoroughly assess your condition and medical history.
- If appropriate, your physio will also conduct a back strength test on our Lumbar Extension machine. This test will objectively measure the strength of your lower back muscles and provide a benchmark for your treatment.
- Finally, your physio will provide you with a treatment plan for your condition.
What should I wear to my initial assessment and when training?
Want to know what you should wear when you visit our clinic? Here is what you need to know:
- Wear comfortable clothes that you can move freely in.
- Please don’t wear denim pants or singlets when training in the clinic.
- Your shoes must be enclosed (no thongs, for example). We recommend wearing runners.

Do I need a referral to see a Physiotherapist?
No, you don’t need a referral from a medical practitioner to see a Physiotherapist. If your specialist has provided you with a referral with specific information, please bring it to your appointment.
We accept Chronic Disease Management Plan referrals from General Practitioners along with referrals from WorkSafe, TAC, NDIS and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Is there anything else I should bring with me?
