Physiotherapy at Kieser Spotswood

Creating long term health results through exercise is the cornerstone of physiotherapy at Kieser Spotswood. Pain inhibits muscle activity no matter what the cause, so our Spotswood Physiotherapists treat a wide variety of physical conditions in our fitness and rehabilitation facilities including spinal conditions, pre/post surgery, peripheral injuries/ pain (shoulders, knees, hips, ankles, etc.), scoliosis and many more.

Our focus at Kieser Spotswood is on functional improvement irrespective of pursuits, age or condition. All Kieser Spotswood clients begin their journey with an initial consultation with one of our Physiotherapists or Exercise Physiologists, who will prepare a comprehensive physiotherapy treatment plan to reduce any muscle aches and joint pains and start the process of reconditioning. After the initial physiotherapy treatment phase they will be introduced to one of our Spotswood Exercise Scientists who will develop a customised training program.

If you have never seen a Kieser facility, we invite you to visit Kieser Spotswood and personally experience the Kieser difference.

FAQ's for an initial assessment at Kieser

What happens at an initial assessment?

  • When you first arrive for your initial assessment, you will be greeted by our team.
  • You will have received a patient information form to complete online. If you do not complete the form online, please arrive 10 minutes early.
  • Next, your Physiotherapist will greet you and show you around our state-of-the-art facility.
  • During your initial assessment your Physiotherapist will go through a detailed assessment of your condition and medical history.
  • If appropriate, your Physiotherapist will conduct a back strength test on our Lumbar Extension machine. This test will objectively measure the strength of your lower back muscles and provide a benchmark for your treatment.
  • Finally, your Physiotherapist will provide you with a treatment plan for your condition.

What should I wear to my initial assessment?

Please wear comfortable clothes for your initial assessment. You will not be required to do any vigorous exercise during this session, however you may be asked to do some stretching. No, you don’t require a referral from a medical practitioner to see a Physiotherapist in Australia. If your doctor has provided you with a referral with specific information then please bring it along to your appointment.
