Kieser Update: 23rd March 2020

Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology: Kieser remains open for all Physiotherapy, 1:1 Exercise Physiology and 1:1 Assisted Training sessions. All of our clients have come to Kieser because of injury, infirmity or other medical conditions and our services are essential to maintaining their health and wellbeing.

Independent Training: In line with the directive from the State and Federal governments we have closed independent training at all Kieser centres as of Monday 23rd March 2020 at 12.00pm

At this stage the period of closure is undefined. We will keep you informed of any changes and notify you immediately when we have a confirmed date for re-opening.

We have been overwhelmed by the support of our clients during these incredibly difficult weeks and thank you for your loyalty and concern.

Our Action Plan
Our Executive team has been working tirelessly over the past several weeks constantly adapting our action plan in response to the changing news. We are exploring a wide range of options for the provision of services over the coming days and weeks, including -

  • Tele-Health: 1:1 online session with our physios designed to keep your rehab program on track; and
  • Tele-Training: 1:1 on-line training program with one of our Exercise Scientists to help maintain your strength gains while away from Kieser.

We will keep you updated on progress on these and other initiatives.

Our Workforce
Sadly, with the compulsory closure we have had to stand down the majority of our workforce and we are doing our absolute best to provide them with essential financial support during the closure. Unfortunately, the government assistance only goes so far for an organisation of our size. Our priority is to ensure that we are in a position to re-engage our teams once the compulsory closures have come to an end.

Your Membership
As an Assisted Training (AT) Member you have a number of options

Option 1- Continue with Assisted Training: Your first option is to continue with your weekly scheduled AT session however, the sessions might not be your usual EP/Exercise Scientist.

I would like to continue Assisted Training

Option 2 - If you would prefer not to train, an alternative that would assist us immensely in the short term is your consent to continue your fortnightly deductions for the duration of the compulsory closure. In return we will credit your membership by the same period. This will also include a credit for your weekly Assisted Training session. These credits will be made available at the anniversary of your membership. We are not asking for a handout, but at this time we are asking for a hand up.

I am comfortable to maintain regular deductions for the period of compulsory closure and receive a future credit*

I would like to defer my deductions for the period of compulsory closure
