She started at Kieser less than 12 months ago and is a fantastic team member. She also just won our “Rising Star” award at our annual ‘Kieser Winter Ball’. Meet Ringwood Exercise Scientist, Una Raymond-Hoey.

Qualifications & Professional Experience

  • Bachelor of Exercise & Sports Science

What do you enjoy about working as an Exercise Scientist at Kieser?
"Working as an exercise scientist is a very specific role that doesn't really exist in Ireland, and I love being able to work so closely alongside our physios to achieve client outcomes. I really enjoy the challenge of combining clinical knowledge and a people-centered-approach to make strength training a part of people's routine, and ultimately help them spend more time outside the clinic enjoying their lives!"

What is your favourite machine at Kieser?
"I have a soft spot for E5/4 as it has really helped my progress in managing a chronic shoulder injury. Otherwise, I love F1.1 for improving my rotational strength for sport and B6 for challenging the mental limits!"

What is a fun fact about you?
"I arrived from Ireland four years ago, originally to play local cricket for 3 months! I have since met my partner over here and have been fortunate to get opportunities playing for the Melbourne Stars and Victoria. Ringwood CC is my home club and I have had the privilege of captaining there for the last 2 seasons."

What do you like to do when not at work?
"I love playing golf with my partner - especially down on the Mornington Peninsula - and have recently been getting into some surfing! We also have a 1-year-old Rottweiler puppy who loves the beach."
