Meet NSW Regional Leader, Hamish McConnell

He started working at Kieser nearly four years ago as an Exercise Scientist in Mont Albert. Always up for an adventure, he jumped at the chance to move to the beach and help us open our Torquay clinic in 2018 as the Principal Exercise Scientist. Now, ready for another adventure, he has moved to Sydney to become part of the NSW team as the Regional Leader. Besides his love of adventure, he is a favourite when it comes to Assisted Training and loves helping his clients get the most out of their training sessions

Qualifications & Professional Experience

  • Bachelor of Sport Science (Exercise Science), Victoria University

  • Team Sports Coaching and Training

  • Certificate III + IV Personal Training

What do you enjoy about working as an Exercise Scientist at Kieser?
"I love helping clients find their potential, whether that is achieving a goal, a physical ability or obtaining a level of strength. I have a particular passion for high intensity training and love working with clients to manage their conditions through Assisted Training sessions."

What is your favourite machine at Kieser?
"The A1 - I love how it targets the posterior chain muscles crucial for everything from daily activities to high performance. It allows you to challenge those muscles in a safe way and generate drive from the glute maximus."

What is a fun fact about you?
"I restored and drove a 1965 Ford Falcon"

What do you like to do when not at work?
"If I'm not at Kieser you can usually find me surfing or now discovering the beautiful sites Sydney has to offer."
