Stage 4 Restrictions & Kieser
Current status of all Kieser clinics:
VIC Metro - Open for Physiotherapy services that qualify under DHHS guidelines.
VIC Geelong/Torquay - Open for Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology and 1:1 Assisted Training.
NSW - Open for Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Assisted Training and independent training. Physical distancing and hygiene standards apply
Queensland - Open for Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Assisted Training and independent training. Physical distancing and hygiene standards apply.
Under the stage 4 Restrictions outlined by the Victorian Government last week, Kieser will remain open for Physiotherapy and 1:1 Assisted Training sessions that qualify under DHHS guidelines. The Victorian Government has given a specific exemption to Kieser to also allow our Exercise Science team to continue to deliver our Physiotherapy treatment plans in 1:1 Assisted Training sessions – recognition of the unique role Kieser plays in the management of many conditions, the qualification of our team and specificity of our equipment.
Who can attend for an appointment?
In Melbourne, we are able to continue your treatment plan if, without treatment, your condition is likely to deteriorate and need further medical care. This is because the Government recognises the important role Physiotherapy plays in reducing load on the health system, but it does mean that some sessions will be delayed and our team will be in contact if this applies to you.
Things you should know:
- Physiotherapy is a deemed an essential service and you can travel further than 5km for a session if required.
- We have a COVID Safe plan and our team will be wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- If you need a session and are unsure if your condition is appropriate for treatment, please call us and we will discuss with you how we can help – please do not sit at home in pain without calling!
What if I can’t come into the clinic?
During the next 5 weeks our team will continue to offer TeleHealth and TeleTraining sessions via video calls. If you can't come into the clinic we can still help keep you strong and pain-free.
If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our support team.
